1. හැඳින්වීම

අද ලෝකයේ පරිසර ගැටලු, සම්පත් හිඟය සහ කුණු වැඩිවීම වැනි ගැටලු හේතුවෙන් නව ආර්ථික ක්‍රමයක් අවශ්‍ය වී ඇත. එය වෘත්තීය ආර්ථිකය (Circular Economy) ලෙස හඳුන්වයි.

සාම්ප්‍රදායික ආර්ථික ක්‍රමය වූ Linear Economy තුළ,

Resource → Production → Consumption → Waste

යන ක්‍රියාවලිය සිදු වෙයි. මෙය සම්පත් නාස්ති කිරීමකට හේතු වේ.

එයට විකල්පයක් ලෙස Circular Economy ක්‍රමය තුළ සම්පත් නැවත භාවිතා කරමින් පරිසරය ආරක්ෂා කරමින් දිගුකාලීන ආර්ථික සංවර්ධනයක් ඇති කරයි.

පාසල් මට්ටමේ සිටම සිසුන්ට මෙම සංකල්පය ඉගැන්වීම අනාගත sustainable සමාජයක් ගොඩනැගීමට ඉතා වැදගත් වේ.

 

2. Circular Economy යනු කුමක්ද?

Circular Economy යනු සම්පත් භාවිතා කිරීමෙන් පසු ඒවා කුණු ලෙස ඉවත දමනවා වෙනුවට නැවත භාවිතා කිරීම, අලුත්වැඩියා කිරීම සහ ප්‍රතිචක්‍රීකරණය කිරීම මගින් දිගටම ආර්ථික ක්‍රියාවලිය තුළ තබා ගැනීමයි.

Resource → Production → Consumption → Reuse → Recycling → Back to Production
